“Had an amazing time during my recent visit. The room was amazing with a private balcony. Loved it. The pools we amazing . And the service the main pool was amazing . Special shout out to Evelynn our waitress.always quick with our order and polite. Would stay again. lazy river was amazing .”

“It was a great stay but each day we were locked out of our room as our key card did not work forcing us to wait for security to bring new keys and let us in our room. We also asked for our bags to be brought to the front while we explored the property and enjoy the pool for the afternoon, but the bags were not up in the front bellman's closet a couple hours later when we were ready to leave making us late to an afternoon appointment that day. Other than that the staff and service was very good.……

“The Monarch is an affordable hotel located right in the heart of Oldtown. The main pool/hot tub area is lovely with lush greenery and a lively outdoor bar on site. The guest rooms were clean and functional, but a bit outdated. The wall mounted TV was very small & looked like a computer monitor. The outdoor balcony was a nice feature, but an awkward shape...not enough space for patio furniture (or even a chair to sit down). So guests can only stand up on the balcony to enjoy the view.”

“Be sure to make note if you need assistance with luggage or stairs. Only elevators are at the lobby and if you are in a room on the second floor or on the perimeter it is a confusing walk ”

“This is a very cute spot to stay and relax with family or friends. Close to old town, walking distance to most. Bicycles to use, spa offers high quality massages, and pool with bar makes you feel like you are on a resort but the atmosphere is small and quaint. The lobby and bar has a cuban feel with natural surroundings. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway!”
