“During Eid Fitr, this was a very quiet place with few customers. Staff were very nice with some English communication issues. With an extra fee, we booked a deluxe room but after checking into room 606, the phone didn’t work, the hot water kettle power plug couldn’t be plugged into the socket on the wall because of the location of the socket is mounted too close to the table surface. We informed the above to the front desk, we were immediately given another room, no 710, a much better one with……

“I have stayed at the Rand many times, previously called the Coral. Solid common spaces, rooms on par for pricing and breakfast is adequate for a hotel of these level. The only disappointment over the years has been the garbage smell in the lower level pool and gym area. Needs to be better vented as it is a serious negative.”
