“All great but toilet did not flush properly and shower wand did not function”

“Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende im Foz Club. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind gigantisch, direkt am Meer. Die Zufahrt zum Hotel ist interessant, sicher nichts für Sportwagen. Das Frühstück ist relativ teurer, wird dafür aber auf der eigenen Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer serviert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.”

“We couldn't fault our stay here. The location was perfect for us as the hotel is a few minutes walk from the old town and a short walk to the beach. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and requested a travel cot which was in our room when we arrived, along with a highchair and a baby bath- which was a great surprise. “Een fantastisch hotel. Goed onderhouden, netjes en schoon. Zeer vriendelijk én behulpzaam personeel. In januari alle faciliteiten operationeel: binnenzwembad, sauna, jacuzzi, restaurant (ontbijt, lunch en diner), gezellige bar met twee maal per week aangename live muziek. Op loopafstand van het gezellige dorpje Alvor met hele leuke en goede restaurants. Ook strand is dichtbij. Zeer prettige sfeer in het hotel. Supergroot appartement met ruim balkon met hele dag zon. Zalige ruime bedden. ”

“Our stay was in an older, 2-storey motel-type building surrounded by villas. All suites in our building faced the ocean, and the beach boardwalk was a few steps away. Our suite had a kitchenette and was large with stunning, direct views of the ocean and nearby rocks from the large balcony. Enjoyed it immensely. Difficult to find as it is in Alvor, not Portimao proper, and there are numerous Pestana facilities in the vicinity. The grounds are under construction and parts of the complex are a bit……

“Nice holiday for families, but a couple can also enjoy it. Food was decent. Buffet was ok and varied options, but the restaurants were definitely better. One of the restaurants wasn't open during our trip which was disappointing. There were some even shows but unfortunately didn't catch any. Like the free drinks and lots of areas to get them throughout the property.”

“Had a wonderful and relaxing experience, and very comfortable for families. Lots to do for kids of all ages. Very easy walk to a large picturesque beach with a backdrop of cliffs. Only one blip with maintenance and hot water. The staff were always kind and helpful.”
