“We almost didn’t stay at this property given a string of recent negative reviews. In summary, this is one of the better cabins we’ve stayed at in Tahoe (I've stayed at 20 over the last 2 years) and I have no idea where these reviews are coming from.The size is exactly what you’d expect from the pictures. It’s not huge, but 3 full sized bedrooms with a great living area upstairs. Yea, the wood panels in the bathroom are a bit dingy around the shower, but it’s a shower in a wood cabin… what are……

“Great place, but no A/C. We were there in July and it was unreasonable hot in the upstairs bedrooms to the point of not being able to sleep. The fans provided were adorable, but not enough to make a dent with keeping the air circulated. Keep this in mind during the summer, it will be HOT in that house and unbearable. Also, it would have been nice to be notified that there is a “fee” to use the pool/fitness area. $10.00 per person per day and another $2.00 for a towel.”

“And there are not a lot of those! There is road and train noise you can read abt in the reviews and see location on the map but there are nice fans in each bedroom and we ran ours on low and it helped. The street is quaint and adjacent to newly developed river walking trails. The historic nature of the property is cool and helps appreciate some of the space issues - tight front bathroom but also applaud the modern inclusions - spacious full kitchen and dining room! Side yard nice for pups! Enjoy……

“Ginger is the most thoughtful vacation home host I’ve ever met. From the moment we got there to we left, she made sure we were comfortable. The place has amazing lake view and it was really nice staring at the view. Kitchen is well stocked, and everything was clean and lplenty of towels in the bathrooms. The location is also perfect, 3min from kings beach, 5min to safeway, and 20min to northstar resort. We’ll definitely go back.”

“We happened to have a heat wave while we were there, so the lack of air conditioning was a problem. I learned that I should definitely check that box in future rentals. The yard was very overgrown, almost shoulder height weeds (I’m 5’7”) and we could not really use the space well. The listing mentions the busy road noise, but there is also a very active train track on the”
