“Gorgeous home with the perfect blend of large spaces for our family to spend time together and private retreats for each couple to relax and unwind. Close to Jekyll Island and plenty of fun things, but also perfect for staying in and enjoying the lake view. Very clean and everything was well stocked.”

The house has been (mostly) remodeled with a gourmet kitchen and in addition to central air, also included individual portable air conditioning units in the upstairs bedrooms which was wonderful. The back view opening up to the marsh was delightful. It was a great place to come back to after a stressful day out to just chill out and enjoy. ”

We stayed with a 5-year-old, the property is kid friendly, and there was plenty of room. Location was convenient for visiting local sites, such as St Simons, Jekyll Island.”

“There’s was 4 adults and a dog and had plenty of room its is a remodeled cute place with the river right across the street for fishing out swimming. we enjoyed the cool water in the river if you like meeting new people and hang out in the river this is the house for you. ”

“The property was very nice. A little creek runs through the back yard, there were lots of birds, some snapping turtles and a few geese in the neighborhood. The house is very comfortable, all the beds had great mattresses. The owner was excellent at communication. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.”

“I enjoyed my abbreviated stay (weather nixed round 2 of a golf tourney). Fabulous proximity to Sanctuary Golf Club. Many areas of the home look newly renovated and wonderful. It was just me, so I didn't pay attention to the guest room section at all - look elsewhere for information about that. Looks like the kitchen will be the final area to get an update, but it had everything I needed. You will need your own spices and condiments, including salt and pepper. Easy-peasy check-in and check-out.”

It's a quick drive to St. Simons island with multiple restaurants, a pier, lighthouse and scenic areas. Jekyll island is another close by location to visit. The property is professionally managed and it's very easy to communicate with the host. Treat yourself to this 'real' historic home. Family and friends will thank you. ”
