“Our stay at Coastal Gem was a good one. The house is cute, close to town, and surrounded by beautiful Victorian homes. Food from The Yellow Deli across the street was very good.We loved the screened in porch. We sat out there for many meals sometimes listening to the rain and the music from The Yellow Deli.The area is quite and friendly. We walked our pup around the area and encountered many friendly dog walking neighbors. Just 2 suggestions. We didn't see any smoke detectors in the house……

“This was a great location with easy entrance in and out. Just a few minutes from St. Simons Island and the downtown area. I would stay here again. The lawn could definitely use some immediate attention. The smell of mothballs upon entering each time is not pleasant and the bath tube can use a little remodeling. None of this would prevent me from staying here again. I noted these things because I like to be honest in my review. Overall, this place gets a 10 from myself and the other 2……

“Such a great stay for my birthday weekend! Only issue is that the bathrooms weren’t as clean as I’d like them to be. There was hair stuck on the shower drain and hair on the bathroom floor in the master bedroom. ”

“This property is a 'real' historic home in the historic district of Brunswick. Fabulous walking neighborhood. Very tastefully furnished with all the amenities you need. It's a quick drive to St. Simons island with multiple restaurants, a pier, lighthouse and scenic areas. Jekyll island is another close by location to visit. The property is professionally managed and it's very easy to communicate with the host. Treat yourself to this 'real' historic home. Family and friends will thank you. ”

“I booked a king bed and upon arrival at check in I was told that the queens weren’t available I asked for a discount and was told no but they won’t charge me the additional $50 fee for having to book a “new room” when I had already paid for the king and all of the fees included.”

“This was our group’s second stay at this property. It provided everything you need for a quiet, relaxing weekend away. We just love it! Joel is an incredibly responsive and kind host.”

“Cute little house equipped with everything we needed for the week. Fenced back yard was great for our dog. House was clean and check in was a breeze. Host was lightning fast responding to a quick question. Location is perfect for quick access to surrounding areas. Neighborhood is older but definitely felt safe and it was quiet day and night. Will try to book again in future. ”
