“Beautiful cottage right on the lake. Kids enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. Hosts were responsive and provided everything we needed for a relaxing and fun summer getaway.”

“This cottage was perfect for me and my two friends, though it seems like it'd be ideal for families too with the three decent sized bedrooms, full kitchen and large living area. I was a little skeptical of the small-seeming stove at first, but it got the whole place nice and toasty in no time! I really enjoyed the private location... something I didn't see in this area for a similar price range. “We absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Cottage. The check in process could not have been easier, we were greeted to such a clean space with homemade cookies waiting for us. “Perfect home for a couple of friends, maybe 3, to explore the Lake Placid area. Only 20-30 minutes from great hikes, Whiteface, John Brown Farm, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Saranac. A short walk to ice cream, pizza, and just a little farther to downtown LP. Host was very responsive and home is sufficiently equipped. My friend and I had a very nice stay.”
