“We had a lovely stay at this cottage with lake views and appreciated being outside of busy downtown Burlington. We might have been their first stay of the season and sadly the bikes were not available to ride. We were grateful for the space heaters and gas heater that we ultimately had to turn on for some extra warmth. There is a washer/drier even though I think I missed that in the description. Would have appreciated a light over the sink. And, we couldn't get the ceiling fans to turn off.……

“The property is in a prime location on Lake Champlain. We brought our own kayaks and access to the lake was easy. The house was stocked with everything we would need and the hosts were very attentive. Helpful Info was provided on activities and shopping in the area. One suggestion for future guests is to bring reading lights, since lighting in common areas was rather dim. ”

“If you are good with an authentic rustic environment- complete with small rodent catch and release trap under the stairs, a little water coming in the bedroom ceiling when it rains, bugs galore, and supplying your own drinking water— then OK. Everyone else consider yourselves forewarned. There has been absolutely no maintenance done on this property in decades. The local staff are wonderful.”

“We were a large party that stayed for a graduation event. The house and property are lovely. Everything was exactly as in the description and Deb was a superb hostess. She was responsive and very helpful in advance of our visit with dining suggestions. I would highly recommend this house to any large family wanting some time on the lake. The marina at South Hero is not far and the grocery store is 5 mins away. ”

“Loved this little beach cottage. Fully stocked with everything you could need. Great location. We were there for UVM graduation and it was 15 min away from just about everywhere we wanted to be! Beds were really comfy. Only thing is the bathroom and shower are tiny - so if you are a larger human, this might be an issue. Otherwise loved it.”
