“Although a 30-min walk from the town, it's in a nice spot, has a modern feel to it and is comfortable. The pool was good, the breakfast alright and the bar ok too.”

Lots of friendly local/Irish staff, which I think helps to add warmth to the atmosphere and is perhaps unusual for this size of hotel - perhaps because of Westport’s size? Food is great. Had been meaning to climb Croagh Patrick for a while and finally got round to it this time. This is not for the feint-hearted……
