“This was a renovated castle. It was close to restaurants, within 10 minutes, very clean. There is no office to check in but the owner has camera to know when you arrive and meets you. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different!”

“This place was so cute. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed longer. Very clean and cute. You could tell a lot of love and care had been put into the decor. Everything felt cozy and homey. They even had coffee and cookies available in the room. And they provided a little binder full of hiking spots, restaurants, and things to do nearby which was very helpful. If I ever come through this town again o will definitely stay at Madeline’s. ”

“The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50……

We were given an upgraded room along with a beautiful fruit and chocolate brownie plater because it was a birthday get away - so very much appreciated 😊 Room was beautiful, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the golf course and Vale of Avoca. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and had a wide window of timings, so if you fancied a longer lay in, it wasnt a problem. We had dinner in the Bistro restaurant both……
