“Talk about being in the middle of no where, Ricks cabin is that. The cabin is situated 6 miles out of Comfort situated in the hills about 1800 feet above sea level. Getting to the cabin can be challenging but follow Ricks directions to the tee and you will be ok. On the way out we made a mistake and followed GPS directions, took a wrong turn and ended up driving down a really rough unpaved road leading to a really spooky looking cabin. The previous rave reviews are spot on with their commentary……

“This was absolutely the most peaceful place. Lots of wildlife. Lost maples state park is close. Great sight seeing location. There is a store about 3 mins away. I can’t wait to come back. I love it here. ”

“Very nice place. The yurt was very spacious for the two of us. This is a great place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle of town. It’s less than 5 minute drive to Bandera and less than a 5 minute walk to the Medina River. The yurt and the covered deck were nestled in the trees with a hot tide at the end of the deck. Everything was very private even though you knew you had neighbors. The camp host was friendly and helpful with any needs we had. The Super host, Melissa was very……

“Loved our stay for our 16th anniversary! Cute a-frame home with large windows that allows great natural light in. There is a hot tub on property but you have to fill, heat and drain it. We did not have time to use it. The outdoor patio was a great area to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and a nice glass of wine to watch the sunset. ”

“This facility is so much bigger than I expected. The cabin we stayed in is not new by any means and they have newer and bigger ones but for what we paid it was an exceptional deal. If you have an RV or motor home I think it would be great for a weeks stay or longer. It was cool watching the deer at sunrise and sunset. Beautiful country for motorcycle riding.”
