“Amazing beautiful hotel, the street outside is also lovely, quaint village, staff were excellent and food was simply incredible, we will be going again ”
“Fabulous ! We have stayed here on numerous occasions snd this time did not disappoint. Great food and wine, comfortable and well equipped room, lovely and friendly staff and a glass of champagne in the hot tub - we’ll be back !”
“It was all wonderful right from the check-in, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a well lit and very tastefully decorated and sizeable room, with comfortable beds, two small armchairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was well appointed with a bath and a large shower head. There were some nice extra touches as well, a small bottle of milk on arrival and later in the stay, plus bottled water, plenty of teabags etc. The food at breakfast was very nice too.

“The hotel was a good base for the surrounding area. It was very clean and the staff were lovely and helpful. I've given it 4 stars on facilities because our room was quite small and didn't have a lot of room to manoevre around. Also we didn't realise when we booked that the pub didn't do food on the Sunday or Monday evenings and the bar closed early too. Overall a pleasant stay.”
“Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice!
Rutland water is only a 15min drive!
Thanks again to the host! ”
“The Bull Hotel proved to be a great choice for a quick stopover in Peterborough (7 minute walk from the train station). It’s an older hotel but has lots of charm. I’d recommend it for a short stay. A surprisingly good price was an extra bonus ! ”
“Hotels.com didn’t make me aware that the hotel was closed, the owners of the hotel were not expecting guests, as they were refurbishing the hotel, fortunately the hotel owners were great and arranged a room for me to stay. The hotel is in a good location to explore Rutland Water, I would be happy to stay again but wouldn’t book through Hotels.com”
“The OT is a home away from home, with lovely rooms and an awesome menu, what more do you want? Maybe a good selection of beers and very friendly barstaff? Well tick, tick. 5 stars ”
“Lovely Victorian/Edwardian hotel. We had a very spacious sunlight filled room on the third floor (no lift). Shower open ended without door or curtain 😕 and water ended up all over the bathroom…
Breakfast was full English cooked to order with array of fruits and cold options. Would stay again.”
“Was a big scare when we reached the apartment and found out this was no one there for check in & no instruction sent before our arrival. In this remote location, the mobile connection is bad and I luckily able connected to WiFi in an indian Resturant. Found an old email thread, replied to it and luckily i received a Uk phone number to call for self check in instruction. Felt quite worried at the beginning with my wife and boys and about where we sleep . Not a good experience ”
“Lovely cabin with everything you need included. The scenery is lovely and cozy at night with the fairy lights. Nice interior, with a comfy bed. There are nearby amenities to order food to the cabin. Enjoyed our stay, only downfall is the ‘hot tub’ as there aren’t any jets etc you would expect in a hot tub, just a wood fire to warm the water. I think this needs to be specified as was disappointed it wasn’t a proper hot tub. ”
