“This house was a perfect size for our family. The kids could watch tv in the back room, I could sit and read in the front room, the pool was huge, although the weather wasn't conducive for swimming, the fire pit in the front was a great spot for sipping wine and creating s'mores. A couple of the appliances needed maintenance but, hey, that happens. The house was well-appointed and we had a great time there. ”

“We had a great stay! The house is comfortable and very well stocked for cooking. The furniture and decor is tasteful and in excellent condition. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. We enjoyed our evening walks, watching the hummingbirds visit nearby feeders, spotting deer and even a black bear nearby! The house is a short drive to Montreat, with lots of hiking trails. “Lovely home with lots of charm! The kitchen looks much bigger in the online pics, but we made it work - lots of rubbing elbows :-) Beautiful views but make sure your car can handle the hills up and up and up… and up! Use the directions they send rather than GPS. ”

“The house is beautiful and Black Mountain is lovely. We enjoyed shopping and dining in town. We especially enjoyed Pure & Proper and Che Fai food truck (don't miss this food truck). We went horseback riding, tubing and hiking. We skipped Europe this summer and do not regret it! Our hosts were excellent. ”

“I am not sure where to begin but from the moment we passed through the gate and saw the view, we knew found the perfect vacation home. The photos in this listing don't do the view justice ... there is row upon row of mountains in every direction. Absolutely Stunning. The house is almost as incredible as the view. The owners did an amazing job with the flow and decor, and offered every amenity you can think of. We enjoyed the hot tub, the putting green, the fire pit, the pool table, the shuffle……

“Our stay at The Gordie cabin was absolutely perfect in every way. Scott and Jake left no detail behind from the fresh farm eggs, to the soap and shampoo from a local Black Mountain boutique. Waking up to the chickens and goats every morning was such a joy. Carrots and dried worms were provided for feeding, which my son was very excited to do each day. A quick five minute drive to downtown Black Mountain and twenty minutes from Asheville. Can’t wait to come back in the fall to peep them leaves!……
