“We loved staying at the Hersie House. The home is extremely well equipped with all the essentials and a few nice extras that we didn’t expect, such as coffee and creamer and spices in the kitchen. The decor was charming. We enjoyed looking at the pictures of the renovation and reading about the history of the place. The heated bathroom floor was a touch of heaven! We will be back!!”

“This place is pure magic and photos do not do it justice. Our group of 13, from ages 12 to the seventies, overpacked as if we were tent camping only to discover everything from K-cups and shampoo to pool towels and paper products is provided. Be sure to read each room’s amenities in the VRBO listing to save yourself extra questions. Even in the rain, the saltwater pool and hot tub saved the day as we grilled on the covered deck before ending each evening with steamy soaks in the hot tub,……

“This is a nice country home very near Blue Ridge. Also close to some hiking. The hosts are very nice and accomodating. There is a side room which is great for reading. The babbling creek nearby is smooth sounding. We certainly recommendif you are in the Blue Ridge”

“What an incredible property to share with family and friends. This place was made for entertaining and hosting special family celebrations. We were in town for my daughter’s doctoral graduation and decided to have the entire family stay together in a place that felt more like home and less like a hotel. Everyone loved the layout with multiple floors and living spaces. We cooked amazing meals, watched a holiday movie and did a Christmas puzzle. All these would have been impossible at a hotel so……

“We had such a nice time getting away from the busyness of home to this precious cabin in the woods. Tons of room for the kids to explore and play outside. We all collected sticks for starting a fire and played tag in the huge fenced in back yard. The kids loved the yard games provided and the treehouse. It was very quiet and relatively private. The cabin was super clean and well decorated which I value a lot . We felt right at home. ”
