“What a find! I booked at the very last minute - literally an hour or so before arrival - and feel I was very lucky to have chosen The Vale. The welcome was warm and friendly, the people are lovely, the room was a bijou but beautiful single (I was travelling as a lone lady with her dog) and spotlessly clean. The food is an interesting fusion of Indian and Kenyan (with standard fare on the menu too) and it was absolutely delicious. All cooked freshly from scratch on the premises. Cricklade is a……

“We were very surprised to find a small and beautiful town named Lechlade nearby. And it is 45 hours' drive to Cotswold which was quite acceptable. However the room was not tidy enough but still in the acceptable range.”
