“Fantastic wee inn, very comfortable, clean, warm rooms with big beds and great shower room/toilet. We arrived very late so didn’t get to enjoy the pub but it looks very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choices. Host was brilliant, accommodating us arriving late and cooking our delicious breakfast. I hope we have need to come back!”

“Return stay. Stayed here many times over the last few years, always a warm and friendly welcome, good service, good food and nice rooms. Also, good for business travellers, breakfast available from 7.30, unlike so many country hotels. The Wheatsheaf is ideally positioned for me to travel out in whatever direction my work takes me. ”

“Stay here on occasion when working in the area. Always a clean comfortable room and I love the charm of the pub. Great menu, excellent food.”

“The bed was comfortable and clean. Nice decor. Chairs were not comfortable, too low. Nobody on the premises during the night. No emergency phone numbers supplied. Very little in the way of literature about the area. Security of residents’ rooms was questionable. Members of the public had access to the stairs near the front door to the bar.”

“Dinner and cooked breakfast was very good. Room basic but clean but no heating on when we got in so very cold until we put radiators on also cold eating downstairs on the evening had to put another jumper on to be comfortable ”
