We were greeted with a bald eagle swooping in to the nearby trees, the loons on the lake that have the most amazing call, large snapping turtle chilling by the dock, mother duck and her babies, and baby barred owls that that made themselves known on our last day. It was a perfect home base when exploring Mount Desert Island, Schoodic Peninsula (highly recommend), Bar Harbor & the nearby……

“Our family booked this property fairly last minute for the busy summer months (1.5 month in advance) in order to visit Acadia National Park. The setting was peaceful, with its own private dock which we loved to spend time out on. The lake was clean, and quiet.
