“Our room was clean and spacious. The decor throughout Orchard House is beautiful and there is also a comfortable lounge area. The breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choice. We have enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.”

Our room was spacious and comfortable but had a broken lamp shade and a loose leg on the dressing table stool both of which should be easy fixes. The bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath a bonus but the addition of a shelf near the sink or hook on the back of the door would be useful, as there was nowhere to put toiletry bags other than the top of the……

“Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”

“The room was compact, clean, had a small TV & coffee making facilities, there is a lounge area & kitchen on the same floor that we were on, although we didn’t use it I can see that would be useful, but beware if your not too mobile, there are a lot of steep stairs, also pub below is open till 12 and we did encounter a lot of noise on Sunday night, so if you’re to bed early, be warned. Bed was comfy and has a nice big shower in bathroom. ”

“Stayed here when visiting for a wedding in Holmbridge. Could not fault the stay. I knew we would be arriving around midday and was concerned because check in was not till 3pm. Called a few days before to ask about early check-in, and the gentleman on the phone was so friendly and helpful- said they would do all they could to have our rooms ready early.
