“Recently under new management so has some minor teething challenges. The current interim manager was excellent but only temporary. If the full time one is half as good the hotel should be a success as it is quiet and charming. Note however the rooms are not for those with mobility issues (and frankly room 1 has so many tiny stairs it isn't for anyone!) We had room 5 which was fine (and is probably the one in the photo) We only had snacky things to eat but restaurant looked popular. Slightly off……
“We had a great experience at the Plough! We were there for a function and the staff could not have been friendlier! Room was clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent and a great value at £10. Eady walking distance to centre of town. I would definitely stay again!”

“Great little place to stay with really welcoming and friendly staff. We had a beautiful clean and cosy warm room with all the options as described in our booking. We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you”
“5 minutes walk to train station and 10 minutes walk to town centre, staff were average, not active enough, could be better. Room was big , but accessories could be improved”

“A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. ”
