“Very good ! I love it ”

“We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed. Lovely set of amenities provided so we were able to cook for ourselves. Only things I would request more of were a sponge for washing dishes (dish soap provided but no way to clean the dishes so we bought our own), and also some extra loo rolls! We ran out on our……

“Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend.”

“As always the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (Shirley was lovely: smiley, chatty, courteous and efficient) Food, as ever, was very good and as real ale drinkers, we appreciated the good beer on offer. Breakfast was excellent, but the coffee was very weak and not to our taste For the first time, we stayed overnight. Although the room was fine, it felt a little underwhelming after the surroundings in the restaurant. Mould in the bathroom was unsightly.”

“We booked a superior room. It was fine but I think we expected it to be a little bigger and to have bath and not just a shower room. However the room was spotless and the bed was comfy. Our evening meal was really excellent and good value.”

“Welcoming and warm - complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pie on arrival and a lovely warm clean room. Staff are kind and thoughtful. Will definitely stay there again when in Halifax.”

“Weekend break in this property. It was very modern. Tastefully decorated and all the things you need for a nice stay. The only issue was noise from other guests coming and going in the early hours but out of the control of the owners ”
