“Very cozy hotel with a fantastic family that runs it and makes you feel at home. Clean rooms with lovely views over the river or a neighboring garden. Quiet location, yet very central. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Was a bit uncertain when ordering as I read some older reviews, but that was obviously in the past before this family took over. ”

“A house to yourself on the harbour. Simple arrival email giving details of code and keys. Was great to have a whole house to ourselves after 5 weeks of room only. ”

“It was a pleasure to stay with Shona this week. Very friendly and prompt communication. Upon arrival was a friendly welcome and tour of the property which was modernly styled, very spacious, and immaculate. The large kitchen has no shortage of storage, fridge/freezer space, very large oven, hobs, pans, crockery, utensils etc. and spacious dining area for 8, couldn't ask for more!!! Add to that an ideal location which is right next to the ferry port (first house on the left when leaving the ferry……

“We just stayed one night before the ferry to Orkney. The room was comfortable and really clean. Staff were friendly and helpful so top marks to the team. Great breakfast included in our rate was a bonus. I'd definitely stay here again. ”

“Being on my own with the dog, i was a little apprehensive. Absolutle no need. Booking in was easy. I was informed ofthe dog friendly places to eat. I was wvenoffered cutlery uf u wanted to order in. Breakfast was delivered to the room which is what they do for everyone. Was fresh and spot on poached eggs. Deffo recommend. Budget but good”

We loved walking around the tranquil setting and making friends with the local sheep. Our host was friendly, attentive, and the food wonderful. She lent us binoculars and guided us to the best places to see puffins. We’re happy we had the opportunity to stay there.”

“What a wonderful stay.. Graham, Sarah and Claire were such lovely hosts nothing to much trouble very accommodating from checking in to checking out.. Breakfast was excellent each morning cooked to order and evening meals were fantastic especially the fish and chips and homemade tartar sauce was so yummy.. The rooms are clean with lovely bedding and fantastic views of the beautiful island.. Can't wait to go back.. ”
