“Fabulous place to stay, suited our purpose in travelling to the Orkneys. Super host, friendly and helpful with a superb breakfast. Evening meal at the hotel a couple of miles up the road was excellent!”

“This is a remote location and is self-serve only, there is nobody at the property full or part-time. Check-in was fine, the room was adequate and things were reasonably clean. There is no food at the property nor is there anywhere close to buy anything. So, come prepared as there is a refrigerator and a kitchenette if you choose to use that.”

“Room was very small and although the en-suite was newly fitted there was no surface to put a wash bag - very silly. Bar area had loud music playing constantly- too loud in our opinion. Staff friendly but all a bit basic. ”

“Jane is friendly and sincere. We were impressed by her welcome tea while we did the check in. She actively provided advice on the choice of restaurants in the area and helped us book a table for dinner at Northern Sands. Jane and Richard are nice guys with their lovely cat, Lona.
