“Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and well worth its $25 charge, The grounds and dining areas in the mansions were striking. We……

“Had an experience with check in where the keys did not work. After two trips to the desk the clerk came up and checked and had to switch rooms since the lock was defective. The room we were given, the toilet paper was so low not enough for one use and no extra roll. ”
