“This was quite possibly the best hotel we've ever stayed at. The views of the lake from every vantage point on the property are beyond stunning. The food at the hotel was by far the best we had anywhere in Guatemala. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The room was stunning. And we absolutely loved San Marcos - everything you need is at most a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Truly can't recommend Kula Maya enough. ”

“Beautiful place to stay in San Marcos and extremely walkable to everything including the docks. A little difficult when navigating with luggage but everything else was a breeze. ”

“The house is dirty, smells humid, dust everywhere, no hot water after 1 minute of shower, no a/c, everything is old and outdated, sheets and towels were stained, it’s in the middle of nowhere in the jungle. We found a scorpion in the bedroom. The only good thing is who manages de property, that service is amazing and will help you get everything organized and scheduled, but the actual property is not at all how it seems in the photos. I definitely do not recommend staying here or would stay……

“This hotel in villas was an oasis of calm a block away from the clamor of the main road. Waking up to Birdsong is one memory I will cherish in this place. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast good too. It’s located about a 10 minute walk from the Atitrans shuttle stop or the Embarcadero, and about 15 minutes from the public beach. I recommend this for anyone thinking of staying in Panajachel.”

“My husband and I loved our stay at Jenna's River B&B! The property and the views were so beautiful, I could not stop taking pictures. We loved relaxing on our private patio as well as in the open air bar and open air restaurant. Service was friendly and accommodating. Others have made comments about the stairs. Yes, there are a lot of stairs because the entire property is on a steep hill. I was also concerned about the comfort of the bed and bugs in the room, as that had also been mentioned……
