“We loved our stay at Jeff and Pam's home in the Monterey Dunes Colony! The view was beautiful and the beach was just steps away. The large kitchen was fully stocked with spices, oils, coffee, appliances (blender, cuisinart, toaster, and slow cooker for example) and all the dishes and utensils one could possibly need. We enjoyed the closet with puzzles and games which also housed movies and beach toys and equipment for the various courts at the nearby clubhouse. We were able to kayak at Elkhorn……

“Our family had a wonderful stay here. The house was just like the pictures. It was pretty clean - a little dusty in areas like the light fixtures and windows, but the floor and bedding and used surfaces were clean. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, I was even able to bake a birthday cake during our stay. When we arrived, there were lots of shells on the deck, I assume from the previous visitors, which my son loved. “They had severe weather the week before we arrived, and the shoreline access was closed off due to shore erosion. I was unaware of this when booking, but we dealt with it. We learned a lot about California Properties that are built on Sand Dunes, and how quickly the shoreline could erode. I'm amazed they were ever allowed to build this facility, considering the sandy location, and no shoreline protection. Standing on the beach, you can look for miles both directions.
