“Excellent family run apartments, staff all very willing to assist. Food can be cooked if ordered well in advance, and there is a take away menu in the room but aside from breakfast, there is not really a restaurant. however, this is really an apartment, and as such it is excellent. Would definitely return here and recommend without hesitation.”

“Plus: The rooms were basic, but spacious. AC worked ok, shower had pressure. Reception staff ok, but not welcoming or friendly. Bar soap provided, no shampoo provided. Minus: No response from hotel via their website when requesting to use free shuttle pickup from airport. (Other members of our group who arrived earlier, made the arrangements for us.--but we didn't know that until we arrived.) Cost of room not a good value for the quality of accommodations. “This was our first trip to Ghana. We had the most wonderful time. An important part of this was our stay at the Eastgate hotel. Frieda and her team could not have been more welcoming. They made us feel at home straight away and were very polite. We took the bed and breakfast option. The cooked breakfast a good start to the day and had fresh vegetables and fruits. A strong recommendation.”

“The hotel was clean and the added breakfast everymorning was a great touch. A variety in the breakfast menu aside from bread, tea, eggs and sausage would be an excellent touch. One thing though was that a spa was advertised as being on site however the nearest spa is outside the hotel and not really affiliated to the hotel. I dont feel it is right to advertise a service you dont provide. This does not take anything away from your excellent service at the hotel, it only adds a little……

“ Disappointing Stay I had high expectations for this hotel, especially since I booked what was supposed to be the best room. I was excited about the smaller, more intimate atmosphere. However, my experience was far from pleasant. Upon arrival, there was a loud event with banging music and heavy bass from the speakers. “I had a terrible experience at this hotel. During a rainstorm, our hotel room flooded — water was literally pouring in through the door. I slipped and fell on the soaking wet floor, and all of my belongings that were on the ground got drenched. The hotel moved us to a different room, but that one had no hot water and a horrible smell. It felt like a downgrade, not a solution. What’s worse is that the staff never apologized for what happened and refused to offer any kind of refund or……

“Cockroaches. I stayed there two nights, killed about 10 of the little bast**** I complained, they said they would spray, they didn't. Front desk service was, poor, unprofessional, half the time there was no one at the front desk. They encouraged me to never book using Hotels.com again, they wanted cash. Swimming pool was so cloudy I never entered the water. I will never stay here again. Oh and breakfast was two eggs and two fried hot dogs. ”
