“The room was good except that it was very cold, the radiator was turned up high but the room never got warm. The duvet was only Summer weight so we had to use a towel and our coats to try and keep warm. Breakfast was continental and good, but a full English would have been preferred after a cold night! The ladies who served breakfast were lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. ”

“Stayed two nights, friendly pub with good food . Staff were great, location fabulous. Rooms were clean and good shower, mattress a little lumpy but overall great value for money would definitely use again. ”

“Nice hotel set in lovely countryside, very friendly staff. Evening meal was good, although it was a very quiet period which led to no deserts being available which was a bit of a let down. All that being said we had a pleasant stay.”

“Hotel and grounds lovely, very peaceful. I booked a table for the 1762 menu and when we sat down to dinner we were told it was not available. I made a huge mistake booking the wrong dates to visit the follies i had even enquired at the hotel but they failed to mention they were not open on the dates i booked. Staff were great though especially Dominica xx ”

“Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time ”
