“Die Bilder der Unterkunft vermitteln mir eine gehobene Mittelkasse, was ich persönlich nicht so empfand. Die Couch im Wohnzimmer ist durchgesessen und weißt starke Gebrauchsspuren auf, welche durch eine Decke verdeckt werden. Ca 100m neben an befindet sich eine Tankstelle, ein SPAR und ein Parkplatz, welcher rege von großen Trucks genutzt wird, Obwohl das Appartment zur Fluß Seite liegt, empfand ich entspanntes relaxen auf dem großzügigen Balkon etwas schwierig. “Die Lage des Cottage ist perfekt. Vom Bett aus konnten wir Elefanten und Kudu-Antilopen im Addo Park sehen. Aber auch direkt hinter dem Zaun des Grundstücks waren Warzenschweine und Antilopen unterwegs. Es war sauber, und alles da, was man benötigt. Die Feuerstelle lädt zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen bei einem leckeren Wein ein. ”

“Wir haben die Unterkunft gebucht, da sie laut Beschreibung schallgedämmte Zimmer und eine Klimaanlage haben sollte. Leider waren die Nachbarn extrem laut und die Klimaanlage fehlte! Aber wo soll man sich beschweren? Kaum hat man gezahlt, ist man ausgeliefert. Funktioniert über AirBNB besser.”

“Wir hatten 2 wunderbare Nächte im Camp Figtree über Weihnachten. Das gesamte Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zelt eine tolle Glamping Erfahrung. Der Blick aus dem Bett und der Dusche auf die Zuurberge war einmalig. Das Bett war ein Traum. Das Essen war ebenfalls durchgehend gut, egal ob Dinner oder Frühstück. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Terrasse mit dem Pool empfehlenswert. Die Tagessafari in den Addo war gut organisiert und das Mittagessen (Braai) war ebenfalls sehr……

On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy……

“Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre de l'hébergement, les dîners et les activités proposées. Tout le personnel était au petits soins. Nous avons en revanche un peu regretté le côté rustique de l'hébergement Dung Beetle (peu lumineux, pas de vue). Nous aurions dû privilégier la location d'un chalet. Nous recommandons cet établissement pour un séjour réussi au parc Addo.”

“Fantastic place. Great home-cooked food cooked and served in a home-style atmosphere by the staff on a deck with amazing views. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring Addo. The property also has giraffes and sheep, both of which walked directly past our room!”

“Unbelievable spot of paradise just 10 minutes drive from Addo game park. This place is tranquil, beautiful and relaxing. From bird watching on the verandah, the spa, Freddie the pianist, Eduan and the rest of the team. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was divine.”
