“The guest house is in a lovely area with fantastic views. The individual rooms have outside entrances and patios with table and chairs. Our room had a large comfortable king bed and twin bed, large clothes cabinet, television, air conditioning, full size refrigerator, microwave, etc. The bathroom was adequate size with nice shower head, hot water and water pressure. It also had secure parking, and large pool area and separate shaded outdoor cooking area with plenty of tables and chairs. It……

“Very good accommodation and a great location for visiting Mountain Zebra National Park which is only 10 minutes away. Plus they have recently added a super restaurant which must be the best in Cradock. We will definitely be back at Albert House the next time we visit Cradock and Mountain Zebra National Park.”

“Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von der Lodge. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW eigentlich unzumutbar und bei vorherigem Regen nicht machbar! Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr schön, aber das war’s dann auch schon! Die Unterkünfte sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen einer Modernisierung. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber nicht sehr geschult und wirkt teilweise unbeholfen. Das Abendessen (in Buffetform !) war wohlwollend betrachtet bestenfalls durchschnittlich, das Frühstück……

“Wir hatten 2 wunderbare Nächte im Camp Figtree über Weihnachten. Das gesamte Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zelt eine tolle Glamping Erfahrung. Der Blick aus dem Bett und der Dusche auf die Zuurberge war einmalig. Das Bett war ein Traum. Das Essen war ebenfalls durchgehend gut, egal ob Dinner oder Frühstück. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Terrasse mit dem Pool empfehlenswert. Die Tagessafari in den Addo war gut organisiert und das Mittagessen (Braai) war ebenfalls sehr……

“Very beautiful historic property with great views & location. On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy……

“My family and I had a very comfortable 3-night stay at Happy Lands and visited Addo Elephant Park each day. On arrival, we were welcomed by the lovely host family to a very peaceful setting. The cottage patio looks onto beautiful gardens with mature trees. My husband wasn’t able to join us on this holiday, and we’ve already decided that we’d love to visit again to show him the farm. ”
