“Hotel excellent. Food and restaurant service poor”

“There is a very good service. Although my original room has no electricity, they let me have a suite room. Their cooked breakfast is very delicious, especially the smoked salmon.”

“The staff were excellent and very accomywith out children. Sadly the room was not really 4*. The extra bed was very old and couldn’t actually sleep in it. The tv did not work and with 2 children was a bit of a disaster as we had promised them tv before bed. Jacuzzi didn’t work and has not for a long time apparently but it wasn’t communicated to us . Sheets had marks on them. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent and food in evening was great. ”

“Really great stay - I arrived late, but service was very prompt despite this. Room was lovely and shower (pressure and temperature and enclosure) was absolutely brilliant. Breakfast in the morning (full English) set me up for the day and the staff were very friendly and chatty. A great stay, a lovely place, I will be back.”

“A comfortable stay overall. The room was a little tired and the room doors don’t keep sound out, which might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. Service was very friendly. Food prices were shockingly high… £17.50 for a club sandwich is what I’d expect to pay at a 4-5* in London. The Salutation across the road is a much better choice for food. If you just need a comfy bed for the night then it’s still a decent choice. ”

“Ideal location close to many things. Room was all you need and clean. Staff were great. Only thing I would knock it on is the bed was passed its best many years ago. Not a good nights sleep to say it was so quet.”
