“We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tyn-y-Coed - the location is excellent for walking from the doorstep and the parking is great. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had good storage. The addition of a drying line in the bathroom is a super idea. We loved the styling of decor in reception and the bar/restaurant and enjoyed the Snowdon Lager on draught. We look forward to visiting again. ”

“Great stay! Could t fault the accommodation at all! 5 min drive from zip world, host left some extras for us, tea coffee sugar milk bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and shortbread! Excellent touch! Some nice walks nearby weather your a novice or a professional hiker something for everyone! Will definitely stay again! I’d recommend bringing some shopping with you, as the nearest shop is around a 30 minute walk away, however if you don’t mind driving it’s only 5/10 mins down the road to the……

“Great staff and lovely location”

“We stayed for 4 nights at the Black Lion. The room was spacious and comfortable. If you wanted every day cleaning, then you would probably have to ask. For us, we found that ok. It is a very busy place and popular. The bed was comfortable. The shower is in the bath, which for me was a bit awkward, as I am in my 80s. The food was really good, breakfast and evening meals really tasty and filling. The hosts and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Absolutely recommended. ”

“Room was lovely and bed was huge & comfy. Lots of amenities, bathroom could have done with a bit of a paint touch up but otherwise good. Food was great and the location was ideal for our trip.”

“We had a nice stay, loved the bed, so comfy! Super quiet location even though it was a main road and a Friday night, although we had a room at the back which probably helped. Packed breakfast was nice and convenient too. TV didn't work when we got there even with Richard helping, but eventually we managed to get bbc 1+2 later in the evening, so I'd advise you take a fire stick or just watch your phone. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't the advertised coffee machine in the room, especially as……

“Comfortable room with en-suite toilet & shower. Pleasant staff, bar prices very reasonable. Good atmosphere in pub areas. Food not bad, (cheese sauce on nachos not good) Would recommend as a good base for surrounding attractions.”
