“This loft was exactly what I needed—peaceful, spacious, and full of character. The building has that old Detroit charm with big windows, exposed brick, and the most incredible old-school elevator I’ve ever used. It feels like something out of a film, with double doors you close by hand—loud, creaky, and full of soul. Honestly, it should be illegal to ever replace it. “This review is going to come with LOTS of caveats. Let me start by say that the space it self was gorgeous. A lot of other reviewers have said this and I will echo them: the building it is in is repulsive from the standpoint that it is old, run down, and smells terrible. You can however see underneath all that, the beauty of what the building would have looked like when it was new. the elevator. It's an old freight or service elevator. I used it probably 15-20 times during my stay and it worked……
