“This is my go to stay in San Jose. The staff is lovely, the beds are comfortable, the area is great, and the vibe is relaxed. I have nothing at all bad to say about this place and I plan to stay here many more times when I pass through San Jose.”

“It was a beautiful property! Like a treehouse tucked away in the jungle, but right on the main strip 5 mins across the street from playa Carmen. Close to great cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores. Our check in process went smoothly and the private family room was perfect, except that we noticed quite quickly the AC wasn’t working on the 2nd level in the bedrooms. The staff were so kind and quick to work hard and fix it by the time we went got back for dinner. 10/10 customer service. Would……

Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. Maverick arranged all our tours with Andy for the night tour and Abel for the morning boat tour. Both did a fantastic job, but especially Abel, who went above and beyond on the wildlife tour. “I truly enjoyed my stay at La Tribu. I would recommend it to any woman looking to have an enriching experience. I met so many girls from all around the world and the activities were so fun. I loved the girly aesthetic and it was very clean. I was a bit taken aback from the surrounding area, but apart from that I felt really safe. 10/10 I’m considering to come back again.”

“Great experience ! Good location. I was impressed by how clean is kept. The kitchen is excellent! It has all kind of pans, utensils, everything! And is impeccable at all times ;) What made the difference was Alonso and Alejandra at the front desk. They are exceptionally helpful, friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to help you. “The view from the balcony is amazing. The dorm bed was comfortable, toilet facilities were great. Kitchen was good as well although could use new kitchen utensils/pots/pans as what was available were quite destroyed/melted. Overall great dorm!”

“Nice clean place with friendly staff, with a pool by the forest, a quiet spot for yoga/meditation/massage, and paths in the forest where we saw squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys and scarlet macaws.
