“We loved the location which had easy access to a trail, we had deer visiting every morning in the front yard, and lots of room for all of us to spread out! The smallest room is the kitchen but we weren’t there to cook. The house had easy access to downtown DC and most importantly the zoo! The towels and linens were clean and aupee soft! We would definitely stay there again! Owner response to any problem was quick and polite! ”

“My husband, mother and I had a great stay at the Cottage on King. It’s tiny but we loved it. It’s beautifully decorated and you can’t get much better in terms of location. There were plenty of towels and other amenities to make for a comfortable stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable- not amazing but slept fairly well. You can hear the traffic but it didn’t bother us. ”

“This is a great place to stay if you don’t have any special requirements. It was hard for us because we were preparing food for our daughter’s Celebration of Life, which we had notified the hosts about. We were surprised to find no full size refrigerator, just 2 mini-fridges, one in the kitchenette and one in a closet. So no possibility of us prepping at this house. Fortunately we had booked two houses and did all food prep at the other one.The other issue was the full flight of stairs……

“We loved the yard, setting and neighborhood for this stay. It was convenient to DC and many shops and restaurants, as well. The house had most everything we needed including for kitchen and laundry. The bed was comfortable and sleeping was peaceful. ”

“Rented the house as a basecamp for the weekend for my team and I as we were filming a short film, needed rooms for a couple people. Steve's place was true to the photos- lovely home in a convenient locale in a safe area, plenty of street parking, fast wifi, bath towels for guest use, several rooms. Steve was laid back and super helpful with answering my many questions. My group had a great weekend and enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend if you're in the area, would stay again! ”

“We came with a group of high school students. The house had a ton of room for a large group like ours. The host was very attentive if I had a need or question, it was answered immediately and very helpful. The house is beautiful, first class all the way, fresh, clean throughout. Our group will definitely book this again next year for our trip. This house is also very close to bud stop, fast food, and many other amenities. I give it a 10 of 10!”

“We loved the house and location! There were 10 of us, 2 grandparents, 4 adult children and 4 grandkids! We had a 12 passenger van, so it was nice to have parking and was very convenient to the Metro! ”

“We've booked this rental two years in a row. We have a large family of hockey fans and we go to the annual Capitals vs Blackhawks game in DC. We first booked this property last spring and we were so happy with it, that we booked again this year. This is the first time we've ever booked the same place twice. “The house was great, location was perfect for a weekend visit with my grandparents and listing was as described. We had some issues with bugs, mostly sugar ants, but we let the host know so hopefully that gets rectified for future visitors ”

“Positives: Instructions for check in were clear and easy to understand, cleanliness was good. Beds were comfortable. Location was good and close to stores/coffee. Neighborhood was super quiet at night. Not positive: we received explicit reminders that we had to make sure to pull the trash/recycling to the curb on separate days, the contents of the bins were mixed trash and recycling, yet both bins were labeled “recycling”. The water pressure in the showers was poor. There were hand soap……

“Very clean and updated house in a very convenient location. Nice neighborhood but close to highways and conveniences. Would be nice to have dressers or luggage stands in bedrooms. Beds seem to be listed in “European sizing”, meaning their “King” bed was what is called a Queen in US and their Queens are really full or doubles. But, beds were comfortable and area is quiet. Downstairs “suite” with bedrooms, bath and living room was great for our daughter, son-in-law and their 2 year old. Nice……

“The property is quite lovely, surrounded by the rolling hills of western Virginia. The house was perfect, a lot of space to spread out if needed. We spent our evenings on the screened in back porch. The pool and gardens were an added bonus. Every evening the neighbor cows would graze along the fence line- just a lovely get away from the City! ”

“Communicating with Tahmeed was a breeze! I received very detailed instructions and was able to amend my contract to check in early or add more people to my group when I needed it.The place was very clean and the rooms looked exactly as pictured on the listing. The main living room seemed a bit smaller to us upon entry, but I loved that the rooms were all spacious and we had enough bathrooms to accommodate 10 girls! I would recommend this listing and host to anyone. Thanks for making our time in……

“While it might seem a little odd to stay above a medi spa in an office type building the space was lovely. Very clean. Big spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms. A small common area that we could watch tv and hang out. Everyone we encountered was very nice.”
