“We should have listened to the other reviews on this place, but unfortunately there wasn't much in the area to choose from. From the moment we walked in it smelled terrible, almost like a skunk smell. Obviously it's right on the Fox River so there's going to be bugs but a lot of the windows especially upstairs are not sealed right and in one of the bedrooms there were a ton of mosquitoes and other bugs all over the ceiling. “Overall a good stay!The host was great—very responsive and even provided check-in details early when we noticed a discrepancy in the listed time (VRBO shows 3pm, but actual check-in is 4pm). The unit had plenty of dishes and essentials to eat off of, which was a nice touch.A few things to note: the AC unit is wall-mounted and doesn’t cool each room individually. The entrance has steep stairs, which might be difficult for some, and the location felt a bit off at first—just something to be aware……
