“Good central location close to Sorrento train station and main shopping street. Buffet breakfast with beautiful dining area. The hotel is old and dated fittings could be visibly seen in the room. We disliked the air-con & ventilation most, as according to reception, it would function only when we set it at least 2 degree higher than current in-room temperature. We wanted anything below 24 degree and end up not having ventilation for the night.”

“My partner and I had a wonderful stay here this past spring. It is right in the center of Sorrento so everything you need is close at hand. While it is a little noisy being at the center, the windows are well insulated so it didn't bother us at night. The staff at the hotel were always available, warm and happy to help with any of our needs. While we didn't do any of the excursions (since we just wanted to be lazy) they do offer a number of activities that they will organize for you with local……

“The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer.
