“These were cute little cabins, rustic, but clean and tidy with everything there for staying for awhile. AC too. We were on the water and the geese welcomed us in the morning! The cabin had a screened in porch with comfy chairs. There was a nice little beach with kayaks to use, a fire pit and firewood for each cabin. The bed was comfy. It was nice and we would definitely visit again.”

“Property was great! We enjoyed our stay. Close enough to things to do but far enough away that we could enjoy being out in nature. Loved the beach/lake access!”

“The cottage on Mendums Pond is a delightful, wonderfully furnished extended A-frame situated on a quiet road, overlooking a beautiful pond and natural view. Very quiet and peaceful, yet within 5 minutes of sites, shops, and conveniences. Everything you need is within the home, including AC and TV. The owner kept in touch and was very helpful with questions. The place was very clean and neat, and there were games and puzzles available. We loved our time here and will return in the future. ”

“Overall good, bed arrangements had changed from when reservation was made. Beds had fitted sheet but not top sheets. ”

“We enjoyed the home and location. We were disappointed there were numerous cameras on all sides of the home that were not disclosed. It caused unease throughout the entire week. Overall, it’s a 4.5 rating: it would be 5 without the cameras.”

“Beautiful gem! Lake house is so much bigger inside than we thought it would be! It smelled like fresh pine inside. Perfect location for little ones too because of the shallow lake. Our adult son has a spinal cord injury and is unable to walk by himself. The yard was gradually sloping which made it easier for him. This was the first vacation trip we’ve had together because we’ve had family trauma the past several years. The faces of our grandchildren lit up when they went on their first canoe……

“Just as described. Came up for UNH graduation. About 15 minutes from campus. Lovely little town. Apartment was great. Just what we needed. Great communication with owner. Worked out perfectly for us. ”

“Warm, cozy pine interior. With large/over sized fireplace.!!! Large deck with table and outdoor furnishings ,to watch sunrise and sunsets. The water view is just lovely. We lit off sky lanterns from the dock..The kitchen has everthing foodies need for great dinners!! We were here during my moms funeral and even with all that stress , we enjoyed the amenities this home has to offer…It was the perfect sanctuary!! Thank you! Heather”

“House is very charming, and well stocked. The outside kitchen (although we didn’t use) is a great idea along with a nice deck over looking the water. Although this is a 2 family house, we never heard or saw the neighbors. A road away is very loud, but you absolutely do not hear in the upstairs bedroom. Clean, convenient to several towns, and good price for everything they have. ”

“Outstanding place to spend time. The suite was very comfortable, and having the food trucks nearby was very convenient. The host was very hospitable and sponsor and often on site. If we are in the area again, this would be our choice of place to stay !”

“We really enjoyed our stay.”

“I've booked quite a few trips using VRBO and the Barnstead Depot is hands down the best place we've stayed. The setting is peaceful, the depot is lovely - I even love the heron wallpaper. We arrived on a HOT summer day and the a/c was on and it was nice and cool inside. The kitchen is well equipped and even has ice cream cones in the freezer. Next we stay there I'm going to plan to come in the fall when the leaves are turning. Thanks again!”
