“The kitchen had this terrible stench - turned out the kitchen sink tubes were leaking odours into the kitchen. Although it was “my kitchen” people helped themselves to stuff. Bedroom was very basic, dated furniture, etc. it was cheap but yeah - I guess one gets what one pays for. And one more thing - when I got there at the main address (there are two guesthouses) nobody opened the gate for some time. I had to get the help of another tourist and when I finally made it to reception the excuses……

“Personal ist sehr freundlich, Auto kann man sicher vor dem Hotel kostenlos abstellen und parken, Personal hat auch geholfen und Kontakt hergestellt zu einem Wein Tour Anbieter der super war. “Hawksmoor House ist ein klassisches, 300 Jahre altes Capholländisches Bauerngehöft. Wir waren zuerst im Herrenhaus untergebracht, dann in einem Nachbargebäude. Beide Zimmer waren ausserordentlich schön. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Zu bemängeln gab es nichts. Allerdings sollten Reisende wissen, dass die Anfahrt über einen unbefestigten Weg erfolgt. Wifi gibt es nur im Herrenhaus. Nach einer Corona-Pause könnte hie und da die Fassade frisch gestrichen werden. Aber dies sind wirklich winzige……
