“A nice friendly hotel, would definitely come back. Excellent facilities, comfortable bed.
Very good breakfast. The hotel is well situated just a couple of minutes from the town. The owner and the staff are very welcoming. ”
“Absolutely love this place!!! Lovely location .
The breakfast was fresh and delicious, the rooms were very clean and updated. The staff were super friendly Would definitely stay again.”
“I can't speak too highly of this hotel. The staff couldn't do too much for us, they were courteous and polite at all times. The quality and choice of food was second to none, for the lake District, it was extremely competitively priced....we will be back, soon, for another break. ”
“Mainly stayed for Keswick Convention. Walkable distance from Base Camp and Main Tent at Skiddaw Street.
It's quiet and near a scenic view from a river nearby. The lawn of the Hotel brings rabbits and relaxing atmosphere to guests.
Friendly staff and great self-served breakfast. A good balance of price and service.
Will definitely visit again.”
“Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”
“The executive suite at The Inn was absolutely gorgeous, probably the nicest room we have ever stayed in, with an amazing view! However, we didn't sleep great because the bed was particularly uncomfortable, which is a shame because everything else was perfect!”
“very good all-round. A lot more there than I realised when I booked the room - perhaps more information would have been helpful - very clean, very spacious and very quiet
”
“Owners were very friendly and helpful, little touches like home made muffins and lemon curd set places apart
Also I’m over 6ft and easily fit into the stand alone bath, great for relaxing the muscles after a day walking ”
“Very friendly staff. The Red Admiral is a little outside the urban areas, so very quiet once the pub winds down. My wife was convinced that there was another (peaceful and tranquil) presence in the room, perhaps The Admiral.”
“Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. ”
