“I wasn’t sure what to expect due to mixed reviews. However I had a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and importantly for me the hairdryer was good. The bathroom had a bath with a shower. The overhead shower was powerfully enough and the water was hot. I wasn’t disturbed by noise, it was peaceful. My tv worked. Kettle was clean.
The only downside was my room felt a bit cold. I didn’t ask about the heating, maybe if I had they’d have helped.

“Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy.
I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.”
“All staff were very friendly. The staff we had to interact with were efficient and polite. We had a family room and it was lovely, clean and the beds were very comfortable.
We also ate at the restaurant for dinner & breakfast the following morning. All was lovely, dinner was particularly tasty. ”
“Excellent overnight stay. Our room was much bigger and quieter than expected after reading some reviews. Main area had a comfy double bed with plenty of space around it, bedside units, long dressing table and large tv. There was a big dressing area with clothes storage and then a good size bathroom. Rain shower was centred in the bath so one could move freely under the powerful spray.
We ate in the restaurant and found the meals to be generous, tasty and very good value. Bar prices were also……

“Nice interior, nice management, nice view and the breakfast is very nice. But the improvements maybe add more direction guide for which We arrived at east midland parkway station.”
“Room was clean and basic with good shower in the bathroom. Relatively small room with dated decor and could do with a refresh. functional and adequate if you just need a bed for the night. Adjoining pub is nice inside with outside terrace and local beer brewed onsight. Quick taxi or 15 minute walk from the centre of Ashby De La Zouch. Really nice engaging staff”
