“Overall stay was good and the host was fairly responsive to my concerns and questions. However the "sofa bed" is not a true bed as there is no mattress whatsoever and the back rest simply lays flat. We had 1 pillow for the master bed and no where to hang out clothes( no hangers or closet). Wish we could have enjoyed the outside of the house more but there was only 1 chair available for a house that will accommodate 5. Could use a few more kitchen utensils and pots and pans for the people who……

“A wonderful place for all in the family to enjoy - from 6 weeks old to 74 - 3 brothers and their families. We had space to all get together, gathering on the Nut House porch for our outdoor style dining and in the big room for Christmas morning.The pecan orchard gave us running/walking/and exploring space and the youngest loved visiting the chickens and horses in the adjacent property. “We stayed at the Bird House for my daughter graduation weekend from Texas State University. Great location - peaceful vibe in the pecan trees, yet just 12 minutes from TXST campus. House is cute and has everything we needed (except dishwasher!!). We enjoyed swinging in the porch hammocks, walking the property, and lounging indoors. Definitely a great getaway! ”

“The property was very well kept, relaxing and great layout with open concept. Fabulous kitchen. The only complaint would be it got really hot at night when everyone went to bed because the temperature was to set to go up automatically. This would have been unbearable later in the summer. “We had a great stay at this property. The house was very spacious and we easily slept 14 people. Amenities at the house were great for a weekend get away. We had everything we needed to cook meals at the house instead of venturing out. The property manager was fantastic to work with and gracious with us for a minor request on checkout day. Unfortunately, our room faced the motorway and the constant noise from the cars made it difficult to sleep - even with earplugs. Due to that, I won’t be back for this price. ”
