“We stayed for two nights and I immediately said upon arriving that I could stay forever. This home is so clean, newly renovated, with thoughtful fun additions throughout the home. Plenty of sleeping arrangements options for family or friend trips. The deck with grill and dining table, and the patio with fire pit maee enjoying the outside easy. “We stayed at The Lake Cottage for a long weekend and it was more relaxing than we could have imagined. The location is quiet, yet close to hiking and antiquing. The space was perfect for our teenager and her friend and they loved swimming and kayaking. We will definitely book here again! ”

“Great place with very accommodating hosts. Dog and kid friendly house and the pond kept my family entertained for a week (great swimming off the float, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding). This was our 2nd stay and we'll definitely be back!”

“Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and exactly as described. The pond was clean sandy and perfect for swimming with our dogs. The location was quiet ane peaceful and the host was responsive and welcoming. We'd definetly come back. ”

“This is a lovely cabin and the owners seem nice, but it needs a new cleaning plan. After arriving to a dirty microwave, dog food on the floor, a dirty floor, a moldy shower curtain, cobwebs over the table, etc… I did some digging on other sites to see people’s comments and they were the same. The owner’s response to them and to me was that it was professionally cleaned (if this is true, they need to be fired) and that he would talk to them. Well, nothing seems to have changed since the same……

“We enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time so we didn't get to enjoy the property like we had planned but they had everything you could ever want! We are planning a group trip back up asap. It's the perfect spot for multiple families to kick back and enjoy this adorable little spot. I also really loved the screened in porches, even though it was raining we could still get outside and see the lake. ”

“We moved 27 years ago from NH. John was born in New London and raised in Sunapee. We raised our 2 kids in Henniker. Rodd cottage made an amazing place to bring our family together. Peaceful and relaxing. Lots of things to do too.Thank you to the Rodd family for sharing.”
