“We enjoyed being in a quiet residential neighborhood where we could walk the dog. The patio with garden lights was a real plus. We sat out there almost every evening. Only about 20 minutes to get into Portland. House was clean and comfortable. ”

“The house is cozy & comfortable. Our group of 6 adults & 2 children felt right at home. It is clean & well stocked with kitchen & bathroom items. The barn was a nice surprise - everyone enjoyed games of ping pong, cornhole, & basketball! The owner was attentive & responded quickly to any questions. We enjoyed nearby attractions & restaurants. A wonderful week!”

“We had such a lovely stay here visiting our Bates student and friends, with our dog. The farmhouse has so many extras for dogs (dog bed, dishes, dog lead in the back, and lots of ducks and chickens to watch!). Lots for kids too - books, boardgames, video games, air hockey and outside stuff. Great setup for cooking and lots of extras throughout. Beds were super comfy and host was very responsive. Would absolutely return!.”

“Our family had a truly wonderful time! The property is absolutely lovely, and it really felt like our home away from home! We sat around the table for hours talking and laughing! We walked down to the river and enjoyed nature! The historic Bowman House (1762) and the Pownalborough Court House (1761) are near by and we enjoyed walking around the grounds. We did some antique shopping, visited the Botanical Gardens, toured Old Fort Western (1754) in Augusta and visited several lighthouses. We were……

“Our family chose to spend their family Christmas at the Manchester’s Farm for the second year in a row. The size, location and accommodations are perfect. Our children all live in the Windham area and it was easy for them to come for the day. Our grandchildren did have the opportunity to spend some alone time with Mimi and Poppi and they love the farmhouse!Thanks to the Manchester’s for the Christmas tree. It added the perfect touch to our stay.”
