“Struggle to find the hotel because of Paul and sam posted did manage to find it. The lady receptionist was amazingly friendly and helpful with a lovely quiet room so I had a good quiet night sleep sausages at breakfast could’ve been better and a bit more choice of Continental would’ve been nice.”

“31 Castle Gate gave us a very clean and comfortable 2 night stay . Private and quiet accommodation clear instruction re parking facilities. Easy access to shops, cafe and relaxing meal/ drink in the evening sat by the canal. Initial access wasn't granted by the code given but a very quickly answered call gave us access for the stay. Thank you to Daniel - very helpful and he also checked in with us to make sure access was ok . Would use the accommodation again . ”

“this hotel is a little surprise. Doesn’t look much from the outside and not helped by being next to a disused building. However, once you enter it is a very different experience. The hotel is lovely, well maintained and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a family room which was very good, though could do with some better quality bed linen. However, it wasn’t bad at all and we had a pleasant nights sleep. Although we didn’t use it, the bar looked amazing and breakfast in the……

“The room was well equipped but looked a bit tired. The duvet cover had a bid hole in it, there was only one hand towel and we had to ask for more milk. The music from the function was very very loud!!! It did stop at midnight. ”

“Great Value hotel. We paid £37 for one night, with a light breakfast. It is unmanned but the system with doors etc are easy to use. We opted for the room with a private bathroom. The room was large and had a fridge. The shower was good. You have access to a good size kitchen which was large and spacious. All the appliances were available to use. The breakfast consisted of a box of cornflakes, a pint of milk, two slices of bread/toast with butter, honey and jam, a yoghurt and a slice of cheese.……
