After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . “The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. If you’re considering booking the Gate House, we heartily recommend it. We had a……

“Beautiful, peaceful, cosy. I could go on. The cottage was modern and cosy at the same time. There was a welcome hamper which contained a variety of items which would allow you to eat if you’d brought nothing with you including a cuppa or cappuccino ( with pain au chocolat). The host welcomed us and was available and asked how things were in passing. I would recommend this property and location to anyone. We had a wonderful time.”

“Very nice cottage, our landlord surprised us with a well -filled welcome basket with bread, eggs, cookies, bacon, tea .... Very helpful and always available for questions. With a rental car you can explore the surroundings very well and return to the idyllic cottage after a strenuous day. Highly recommended, thanks to the landlords we had a wonderful week.”
