“The location of the hotel was not in the town centre which was misleading. The staffs were helpful and the restaurant near the hotel provided good and .cheap food”

“It's an amazing place with such intact history I've never seen in a hotel of this age. It truly was a delight to stay in such a historic place that is so well maintiained and managed.”

“Its a venue hotel , busy and noisy on Saturday nights til midnight. However the room had about 10 sockets. Bathroom was modern apart from dirty extractor fan. Staff were lovely, pub opposite looks neglected but great friendly crowd and staff , woluld stay again , not on a weekend though. ”

“First visit a welcome surprise with amenities provided. Ensuite was bigger than my bathroom. Bed comfy. Didn't hear other guests. Ample storage space for everything. Clean soft towels. My only bad comment would be the cups provided, I prefer mugs of tea or coffee. But now I know I'll bring my own, no probs.”

“The hotel grounds were lovely. The “deluxe suite” we’d booked had some worrisome issues. If you’re a guest anywhere near 6’ tall you run the risk of cracking your head (and drawing blood) on the sharp wooden beams like my spouse did. The towel rack in the bathroom (that also had a low wooden ceiling beam) was scalding hot with no shut off lever. Our safety concerns were relayed to the staff and although they said they’d investigate it didn’t seem like much of a surprise. The breakfast though……

“Great stay. Room was clean, bed comfortable and shower excellent. Ok you wouldn’t visit Snooze for a romantic getaway but it was very cheap and extremely good value. No complaints at sll”

“The night we endured was terrible, it smelt of faeces all night, loads of people coming in and out shouting, it sounded like someone tried getting in our door around midnight, the shower was contaminated, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a case of legionella within the water, the bed was very uncomfortable and didn’t feel secure, the sink had no plug, and Unknown marks left on walls, 1/10 would not recommend ”

“The room was spotless, a good size and the bed was comfortable.The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was good with a reasonably selection. It was good value for money. This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we would definately stay again. Car park and outside area does not do the actual hotel justice.”
