“We loved staying in an iconic mushroom house (smallest one I think) and the house is surprisingly spacious. The design of the “Half House” is well-organized inside, you just feel like an oversized person in a hobbit house in the most adorable way (yes, ceiling height was great!). The fireplace was our favorite feature. Our host was kind and gracious, all amenities were supplied and we just loved it here. ”

“We had the best time at the Shingle Shack! The house was spacious and comfortable. It is has a very homey feel to it. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a great little market within a few minutes drive that we v bought all of our groceries at. The kayaks were fun to take out into the lake. The beach fire pit is going to be hard to top for all future vacation rentals. We did not use the bunkhouse during our stay. The lake is absolutely beautiful.Perfect for swimming,……

“Place was clean and AC was necessary as it was unseasonably in the 90’s in June. Utilized the kitchen to cook several meals, which had everything we needed to prep our food (spices were limited to salt and pepper). We used the grill for steaks but had to replace the propane tank since it was left empty. Most of the shore line is privately owned but if you keep your eyes open for small brown boat launch signs, there are some places to reach the water. We walked 1/4 mile east to Eastport Landing……

“Do not hesitate to book this Carriage House! Theresa is very quick to respond to any questions you have. The rental is spotless. The property grounds were stunning. A short walk up to the beach area past the main home has chairs and the water is crystal clear. The rental has its own little patio with firepit, wood and grill. There were k-cups which were much appreciated along with creamer. Makeup wipes in the bathroom. A nice cushiony tub mat in the shower. Super thick plush bath towels. Books……

“This charming cottage is in a fantastic location in downtown Charlevoix. The owners have taken great care with all the details. Everything was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The beds were more comfortable than most beds we've slept in on vacation. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. ”

“The location was great. Easy walk to downtown and lake Charlevoix. The house is small but nicely laid-out. It was comfortable for our family of four. We appreciated the availability of outlets and USB ports and the dimmers on the lights and lamps. Things to note:-there is not a working dishwasher so if you’re using the kitchen, you’ll need to hand wash the dishes when you run out. Only one dish towel was provided. -The property is right next to a bell tower so you’ll hear the chimes every hour,……

“A very well-kept, cozy cottage in a nice, quiet setting”

“The house was super clean and the property is beautiful! If you are wanting to go on vacation and get away from everything, this is the perfect place! You get to see deer in the field in the back and it’s just a short drive into downtown. We took our dog and he absolutely loved the trials behind the house!”

There was an issue with the heat and property manager and owner acted immediately and remained in constant contact with us which we really appreciated. I recommend more pictures and decorations throughout to give the house a homier vibe. We would stay again.”
