“This was our second stay and reminded us why we loved it the first time. The house is comfortable, the room spacious and the decor tasteful. We slept well on a comfortable bed and all the usuals in terms of tea and coffee were there along with a nice sized fridge if you wanted to put the champagne on ice. Newcastle Emlyn is a lovely little town. The real key to why this is such a great place to stay are the wonderful hosts. Tony and Chris can’t do enough for you and offer a great welcome. This……

“We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year. Penbontbren ticked all the boxes, the suites are lovely, an old barn conversion, our suite……

“Great position overlooking beach and sea. Staff were exceptional, especially Hayley, the manageress. Food was tasty and well presented. If you plan to stay, book a balcony room. Great to stand on watching and listening to the ocean.”

“Cam was amazing and made me feel very welcome. The room is for 1 or a couple and had everything you need. The is no restaurant but the Nags head was a 5 min walk away. Breakfast was very relaxing and delicious. Bow the new poodle was adorable and very entertaining. ”

“We didn't quite understand the check in process nor the lock box. We had made the reservation earlier that day and were unable to get email. Once we did and texted, it was explained how to enter and all was well. Worked very well for us.”
