“Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. ”

“This stay was idyllic and everything that was promised. Privacy, serenity and beautiful surroundings. Loads to do in the area and off the beaten track enough to have a sanctuary from tourism. Susan was the hostess with the mostess. Always there for suggestions, but never intruding. Her family are quintessential Italian and we loved hearing her grandchildren calling each other across the garden, hearing the neigh of the horses and next doors donkey in the distance. If you like some solitude……

“Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. Das Haus wurde während unseres Aufenthalts geputzt, der Pool mehrfach gereinigt, aber immer mit……

“Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Gastgeber! Die Mühle ist sehr gemütlich, der Pool ist großartig und wird regelmäßig gereinigt, Ausflüge wie zB nach Lucca sind von hier gut möglich. Der Ort ist nicht touristisch, bedeutet allerdings auch dass es wenig Gastronomie gibt - und vor allem kein TakeAway. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :-)”

“Absolutely fantastic...could have stayed on and on! This was our third stay as a family at this superb house and we will be back again for sure. The house has plenty of space - more than enough for four adults and we wished that we had invited some friends too! As usual, Maria Cristina and Luca were the most wonderful and considerate hosts with excellent communication and, as expected, a the property was beautifully presented. We came back again without hesitation as this house is perfect……

L'accueil était parfait, les gens très sympathique. Nous avons profité de cette maison avec un soleil magnifique, c'est un endroit central pour visiter la Toscane. “Our group of 3 adults, 2 children, and a dog had a wonderful holiday at this property. The stunning mountain views impressed us every day, and the large, well-kept infinity pool was a true highlight.The property offers a small house for 2, a larger one for 5, and a charming Tea-House. All are cozy, perfectly suited to the number of guests, and fully equipped with bathrooms and kitchens. The Tea-House is perfect for relaxing.A turtle enclosure and a friendly trio of donkeys made the stay even……

“Wir waren zu viert Meine Frau Tochter Ehemann und ich Nach kurzem anschauen dachte ich nun ja mal abwarten Aber es ging alles gut Fabio ist echt nett und gibt sich sehr Mühe es jedem recht zu machen Ausstattung ist ausreichend Der Weg zum Haus ist mit dem Auto nur sicher machbar wenn es ein Allrad ist Das herunterfahren zum Haus ist wirklich Abenteuerlich Aber wenn man da ist wird man für alle Mühen entschädigt Aussicht und Ruhe Wirklich klasse Alles in allem gebe ich 5 Sterne weil es einfach……
