“It’s a beautiful nature - turquoise clear waters and beautiful views. Our villa fit our needs - it was clean, quiet, safe, with a beautiful view of the sea and the nearby islands. There was unfinished construction around that could be unsafe for little unsupervised kids, but it didn’t bother us. A lot of the island is not in a state that people from developed countries are used to. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and how nice the people from the island are. “We have a home on the island, but we needed a place to stay for 2 nights as we had guests at ours. We brought my daughter and her friend for their senior trip and the only request was to see the pigs. So we decided to stay up this way and hope to see the pigs without a tour. We pulled into the place and Margaret was there to greet us right away. We got settled and went down to the restaurant/bar and the locals were so incredibly friendly. “Mom and I started our trip here for our Mother’s Day getaway. Beautiful views and water from the beach or restaurant/bar next door. We were in one of the upper apartments. No view of the beach or water due to the mature palm trees. Apartment is basic - minimal accommodations (like wash any dishes & fill the coffee pot from small bathroom sink) for those looking for a great value and basic accommodations. The only mirror is in the bathroom and you need to be tall. I’m 5’5” and mom is a bit……

“Another amazing stay at Canuck Palms. This home has everything you need, beach toys, snorkel equipment, beach bags, towels, rolling cooler. A nice back deck to grill and relax on the lounge chairs in the evening after a day at the beach. Heather responded my messages promptly, which I loved.
