“We loved our stay here and we would highly recommend it. Being beach front was amazing and being able to walk to a variety of restaurants was very convenient. The cabin has been freshly updated with a new bed and a nice tv. Our adult son comfortably slept on the pullout bed in the living room and having 2 bathrooms was perfect. People at the resort are very friendly and we had a lot of fun. ”

“We loved our stay in Hartswell! The house was perfect for our time there and it had everything we needed. The views were lovely and the location is great - not too far from town but enough to feel off the beaten path. Warren was available as needed and checked in often! “This is a place to put your head down and that's about it. Small cottage that has many miles on it. Beds and bedding were old and uncomfortable. Blanket consisted of a sleeping bag. Showers backed up into the tub. Air conditioner leaked onto the living room floor. It rained hard while we were there. had some time where we could not go anywhere. TV is broken. Looks like the coax cable was yanked out of the back. Back window was broken with a piece of plastic and tape over it. One……

“The cottage was no frills but had everything we needed and was nestled in a quiet area surrounded by native vegetation and many types of birds. The screened in porch and pool was perfect for relaxing too. The pier is a few feet away with easy access for kayaking or watching the green sea turtles from there. Valerie is a top notch host and ensures that you have everything that you need. Thanks again Valerie - we had a great time!”

“We just returned from a glorious 6 days at The Turquoise. I am giving a 4 instead of 5 is because the pool isn't actually at the house, as pictured. It's across the street at Las Palmas. Fortunately we got permission to use it from the lovely lady that checked us in but there were folks staying at the house; FYI if you are going for complete privacy. “We stayed at 1 of the 3 cottages. I had a difficult time figuring out where it was prior to booking as VRBO doesn't always show the exact location. It would help if a picture of where it is on the map was included in the listing photos. It was a convenient location in the middle of the island. While you could technically walk to the beach, I wouldn't necessarily recommend that. A rental car was necessary to travel around and the road to get to the cottage is very rutted. “This is a really great place. Super clean and comfortable. Great access to ocean. Steps to the beach. Dine outside on patio. Lots of beach accessories supplied and host super responsive. I would highly recommend getting a rental car, get a one day pass at Grand Isle resort and/or renting a boat to explore Stocking Island so that you can experience different areas of the island. We rented a boat from Exuma Boat rental, Allison and Exuma auto rental”

Our son sailed to the Exuma from Wisconsin, through the Erie Canal, down the east coast of the USA, and they are moored in Exuma. They joined us each day at Ocean Mist Villa.
